hamster65 Hi, I built a PixelIT this weekend and I love it :)
That alone makes me happy that the Piexel It joy brings you.
hamster65 Text node: Is it possible to right/left align text?
No, this is not possible with the current code. The text is always aligned left or centered.
hamster65 Hardware: GPIOs. There are free pins and I would like to use them for buttons and a PIR motion sensor for presence detection (and to switch it to sleep when no one is watching). A GPIO-node or something like that would be great. I guess a polling mechanism would be easy to implement, not sure about an event driven “push” (e.g. when a button is pressed).
Also this is not planned at the moment, because I already have a complete home automation environment where all this is available, so I have no need for such a thing.
hamster65 Hardware: With all LEDs off, it still draws 245 mA (1,2 W, including the DFPmini player). That’s a lot for doing nothing. I wonder how much the individual components draw and how that could be reduced. Disconnecting the matrix and the dfpmini with a mosfet would be an idea, and this could be done with the “GPIO-function”.
Yes, I agree with you, but I switch off the complete display via a switchable plug socket .
hamster65 Hardware: What about adding a second matrix to double the width to 64 pixel? It would be usefull to display larger texts or numbers.
Yes, that would certainly be possible, but it would require some code and logic changes.
In short, I don’t have much time to put them into this project for big changes.
However, feel free to contribute a pull request at any time if you can.
